The Ciolo bridge is the perfect destination for those who love diving from great heights. The bridge connects the canyon and below is a beach. 40 meters high, there is a breathtaking panorama occasionally interrupted by the "splash" of those who dive. Near the bridge there are many caves including the Ciolo cave. The name “Ciolo” derives from the Salento word “Ciole”, to indicate the numerous magpies that nested along the coast.

The Cipolliane Path is an ancient path that connects the old port of Novaglie with the Ciolo canal, a natural fjord on the Adriatic coast of Salento. The path winds through the rocks and the Mediterranean maquis, passing close to three prehistoric caves called cipolliane, where archaeological finds have been found.

This path is an ancient walkway that connects the town of Gagliano del Capo with the Ciolo bay, it enters a natural canyon dug by water and wind, where prehistoric caves open and you can admire the Mediterranean vegetation. It also offers a breathtaking view of the sea and the Ciolo bridge.

Beautiful spot. I think it is also the starting point for a nice walk.
