Canale dei Fani is a karstic valley located between Pescoluse and Torre Pali. It is an ancient river bed, now dry, which was formed by the erosion of the limestone rock. The canal is rich in Mediterranean vegetation and historical remains, and is a suggestive and fascinating place, perfect for an excursion on foot or by mountain bike.

The cave of San Pantaleone is a rock crypt located on the eastern side of the Canale dei Fani. It is an ancient place of worship of Byzantine monks, who took refuge in this area in the Middle Ages to escape persecution. The cave is divided into two rooms and has on the right wall of the entrance the remains of a fresco depicting the holy martyr Pantaleone.

Torre Pali beach is one of the pearls of Salento, located on the Ionian coast of the province of Lecce. It extends for over three kilometers of fine golden sand, interspersed with small dunes of Mediterranean scrub. The sea is calm and crystalline and the beach is dominated by the sixteenth-century tower that emerges from the water, creating an evocative contrast between history and nature.

Be careful when going down. the purple clay is very slippery in places!
