The Hackenberger Mill in Saarburg is a 13th-century mill museum that is open seasonally. The season begins April 13th and is open from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The entrance is located below the waterfall in Staden. The museum offers, among other things, a new listening tour and a detailed model of the mill.

Below you, the village of Ockfen nestles in its small side valley, while on the horizon – framed by vines – you can see the small town of Saarburg.

Benches are located beneath the jump, perfect for a break with a view. You have to be a fan of the wobbly steps on the way there 😏

It is worth climbing the long stairs into the vineyards, because from the top you have a great view of Saarburg. A little further to the west is the official viewing point.

A real “arena view” and the best place to photograph a 180 degree panorama of the vineyards in the “Ockfener Bockstein” location.

The Bismarck Tower is located on a steep slope between Schoden and Ockfen on the Moselsteig side path Saar-Riesling-Steig. From here you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Saar Valley, Schoden, Biebelhausen and the Ayler Kupp vineyard.
