The people of today need an encounter with the crucified and risen Jesus! Who, if not the divinely condemned One, can fully understand the suffering of the one who is unjustly condemned? Who, if not the mocked and humiliated King, can answer the expectations of the many men and women who are without hope and degraded? Who, if not the crucified Son of God, can understand the pain and abandonment of the many people who despair of life because they have no future ahead of them?" (Pope John Paul II)

Starting from Hillesheim, the so-called "Bolsdorfer Tälchen" is a popular destination for walkers or hikers who just want to take a short stroll (although the path is also shared with cyclists). On a longer hike, the route can be easily planned as a stopover.

A mini-museum would be an even better description. While walking or hiking in the Bolsdorf Valley, you almost inevitably pass by it. A glimpse through the window was possible.

In the long-gone days of our grandparents, a central bakehouse was common for the village community. In many places, these were eventually demolished. Here in Bolsdorf, however, it has been preserved and still bears witness to the old days.

Situated slightly higher up, you have an impressive view of the Lacarube at Rockeskyller Kopf.

Above Rockeskyll we enjoy a beautiful view towards Kasselburg.
