The Marienthal trout farm is a traditional farm established in 1899 and specializes in the breeding of brown, rainbow, and salmon trout. Hiking

Marienthal was built in 1767 under Elector Karl Theodor and used as a factory. Military cloth, buttons, and other items were manufactured. The owners and products produced changed constantly (linen weaving mill, paper mill, oil mill, etc.). In 1887, the main building (the factory) was converted into a residential and workspace. In 1894, the then owner, Otto von Alten, laid the foundation for trout farming by building ponds. Today, Marienthal consists of a pond complex with 17 ponds and two weirs.
