The parody of the equestrian monument from Wenceslas Square in the Lucerna Passage under the Art Nouveau glass dome: hanging on all fours, a dead horse with St. Wenzel rides.

The Lucerna was the first modern multi-purpose building in Prague. Construction of the seven-storey house began in 1907 and ended with the completion of the "Great Hall" in 1920. The building complex was largely planned by Vaclav Havel, the grandfather of the author of the same name and Czech President. The name probably goes back to Frau Havel, who reminded the sight of the facade of a lantern (Lucerna in Czech). The building, located between Vodičkova (Water Street) and Štěpánská (St. Stephen's Street), connects the two streets with a beautiful passage, which was another novelty at the beginning of the last century and the first of its kind in Prague.
Many Art Nouveau elements can also be seen in the Lucerna Passage, which was built in the modernist style. In addition to shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, you will also find the venerable Lucerna cinema here. It opened on December 3, 1907 and is now one of the oldest cinemas in Europe. Franz Kafka, an avid cineast, repeatedly watched films here.

Very close to Wenceslas Square you can find the Horseman of Cerny. The sculptor DAVID CERNY, born in Prague in 1967, created this sculpture "horse" in 1999. Cerny, also known as a scandal artist, has created a parody of the monument to St. Wenceslas, the original of which is located in the city's most famous square.
