Old Harbor Leopoldshafen

The old port of Leopoldshafen was an important transshipment point for Rhine shipping in the 19th century. Due to the question of location, the port was in competition with Daxlanden and Knielingen. In 1833 the Schröcker proposed to Grand Duke Leopold that the port and the place be renamed. Schröck and the port became Leopoldshafen in the same year.

At "Old Port" of Leopoldshafen there are now only private pleasure boats.
