Wildenstein Castle is located about 200 meters above the Danube on a ledge. The first castle was probably built here around the year 1000, but the current buildings are from the mid-16th century. Today there is a youth hostel in the castle and there are regular events such as medieval or craft markets.

very nicely located youth hostel with its own flair; the castle courtyard and the castle tavern are also open to the public for non-hostel guests; as hostel guests you can take tours of the castle; It gets really cozy in the evening when the day tourists are gone.
