The City Hall is recognizable by its two large towers. Its construction started in 1931, but during the Second World War the works came to a standstill for a while. The building was officially inaugurated in 1950. The building, renowned for its distinctive architecture, was designed by architects Arnstein Arneberg and Magnus Poulsson.
