Nice bike path on the opposite side of the RMD canal from Forchheim. A quiet, flat stretch along the canal-lined bank of the canal to the bridge that leads to the center of Forchheim. A detour to the old town is definitely worth it and on the market square you can take a break in a number of beer gardens.
