The rear cattle grazing here actually do landscape maintenance. Thus, this old farm animal, bred in the manner of an aurochs, keeps open the landscape of the nature reserve and promotes the species-rich meadow flora and fauna.

The young bulls must leave the Rieselfelder (and thus the herd) at the age of 2 years, since from this age the Leitbulle begins to perceive them as rivals. Then it does not necessarily mean for them final station slaughterhouse, but they may sometimes, with appropriate successful mediation, in other flocks to refresh the stock.
