The church was first mentioned in 1270 ..
The church tower and the large southern chapel were built in 1470.
The size of the chapel and the unusual façade in the south are due to the fact that there was a well that had dried up in the cemetery, which was the subject of considerable pilgrimages.
The source was Sct. Dedicated to Anna (Mother of the Virgin Mary) and the church was originally called Sct. Anne's Church.
