The town of Grado, with just over 8000 inhabitants, is located on the north coast of the Adriatic Sea on a coastal dune at the far end of the Gulf of Venice. The island of Grado is also called sun island or golden island. With nice old town and many good restaurants. Grado also has a lagoon next to the island where Grado is located. Grado is the only Adriatic town where all the beaches face south and therefore have sun all day long.
