The Kampen lighthouse, also known as Langer Christian, is the most beautiful lighthouse on Sylt.

This lighthouse has been a listed building since 1974. It received its distinctive appearance in 1953, 100 years after construction began. At the time, the petroleum-powered lighting device originally used was a technical revolution, and was exhibited at the 1855 World Exhibition in Paris. The Kampen lighthouse on Sylt was built under Danish rule.

Like many lighthouses on the west coast, this one is still fully functional. Unfortunately, it is not open to guests and therefore cannot be visited. But the facade and exterior view are also worth a visit.
