Since 1856, the black and white lighthouse in Kampen has been leading the way for sailors. Its official name is "Beacon Red Cliff" - despite its appearance. Locals just call him "Christian" - why? The black-and-white giant was christened by Heinz Klevenow years ago with the quote "For me, all Danish kings Christian" (even if it was King Frederick VII of Denmark, who gave the building contract in 1853 ...).
