Siebertal Valley

The only and last large Harz valley, which is not blocked by a dam with reservoir. Until the 1980s, there were corresponding plans, which were then discontinued. Maybe that's one of the reasons why the valley is so untouched today that it's hard to believe. From then leads a narrow asphalt road along the Sieber. If you drive from north to south, it is only downhill for many kilometers without pedaling. Pure enjoyment!

The road surface is usually good. Should also be possible for RR without any problems. I drove it with the gravel. Fantastic route. Completely free of cars without stress high in the Harz Mountains.

The Siebertal is also beautiful further down, this section (and on to the Harzhochstraße) is also closed to vehicles and therefore particularly idyllic.
