Imagine... A place in the heart of the city but in the middle of the countryside. A place where the light stone of Bordeaux blends the harmony of its 18th century architecture with the casualness of a stream surrounded by centuries-old trees. A place where walkers, joggers, children and grandparents coexist in complete harmony with swans and ducks. The public park is one such place. It has accompanied the lives of all Bordeaux residents since its creation in 1746.
A true green lung of the city center, it houses, on its 11 hectares of oxygen, numerous playgrounds and play areas for children as well as the famous Guignol Guérin puppet theater. Surrounded by a number of private villas including the Natural History Museum, a former botanical garden and a very pleasant bar-restaurant, the Orangerie, the public park has been classified as a " French Remarkable Garden ". bordeaux-tourismus.de/parks-und-gaerten/der-jardin-public
