The Bordeaux water mirror is a shallow pond reflecting the Bordeaux docks. In operation since 2006, it has an area of 3450 m² and an underground tank of 800 cubic meters, making it the largest in the world. Created by the fontainier Jean-Max Llorca, the architect Pierre Gangnet and the landscape-planner Michel Corajoud, the system makes it possible to reveal one after the other a mirror effect with 2 cm of water on a granite slab and a fog effect up to 2 meters in height. He is also the central element of the Quays, which have also been reorganized by Michel Corajoud. Its operation is interrupted every winter to prevent frost from causing damage to the piping system supplying water to the mirror. fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miroir_d%27eau_(Bordeaux)
