Kahler Asten

The Kahle Asten is the third highest mountain in the Rothaargebirge but certainly the best known, as it is located directly at the famous tourist destination Winterberg. He is 841 meters high and no matter where you come from, this means a long, crisp climb. But it's worth it: Upstairs not only a great view awaits you (from the branch tower, it is even better, from here you can see in clear weather to Brocken in the Harz!), But also a hotel with a restaurant. And of course a madness descent!

Absolute recommendation. You can also jog or try the mountain e-bike if you like. For example, from Hotel Deimann in 15km. From Kahler Asten then a bus goes back into the valley.
