Schaichtal Trail in Naturpark Schönbuch

The path through the Schaichtal Valley is scenically beautiful. However, the condition of the trail has deteriorated significantly, especially in 2021, and sections are difficult to navigate, even with a gravel bike or trekking bike. Partly compacted, fine gravel, which is still easily navigable, alternates with coarse and soft gravel, as well as occasional hard and soft ground. The heavy rain and especially the storms at the end of June and the beginning of July have severely damaged the trail, eroding the surface in many places. Since no repair work has been carried out, but instead a few forestry vehicles have used the trail in the meantime, it is in correspondingly poor condition (as of November 2021).Update from May 2025: The Schaichtalweg has been accessible again for some time. The above statements are no longer true at the moment. 😉

A wonderful varied route, with barbecue areas, fountains, small lakes.
Nice and shady in the heat, you can still drive comfortably here.

Rest in nature, almost deserted. Two small lakes are on the way.
