The bridge has six lanes, in addition there is a common walkway and bike path on both sides.
Named after Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen, the great Neuwied social reformer of the 19th century, the "Raiffeisen Bridge", one of the most modern Rhine bridge buildings, was inaugurated on September 26, 1978 and opened to traffic.
