Rohan Fortress is a historic castle in Switzerland. The original structures were largely destroyed during World War II to make way for modern military installations, which were subsequently demolished. Today, only a few traces of the walls and foundations remain, testifying to the complex's ancient divisions.

The Fortezza Rohan is the ruin of a baroque fortress east of Susch in the Engadine valley in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It stands on the Chaschinas hill above the village at approximately 1,553 m above sea level. A medieval castle complex was mentioned in a document from 1578. Possible remains of this castle were demolished during the construction of 1635. Only excavations could reveal information about older settlements. The complex visible today was built in 1635 by Duke Henri II de Rohan during the Thirty Years' War (allegedly in just nine days?!).

Here you can visit the ruins of a 17th-century fortress. As you can still see today, the location is strategically well-placed, as it overlooks the valley, and the northern slope drops so steeply that no enemies were to be feared from there. After the steep climb out of the Inn Valley, you can enjoy the fantastic view from between the fortress walls.
