The New Little Belt Bridge was built between 1965 and 1970
and inaugurated on October 21, 1970.
In 1970, the New Little Belt Bridge, with its three lanes in each direction, took over a large portion of the traffic from the Old Little Belt Bridge.
The New Little Belt Bridge is thus the main connection between Jutland and Funen
and it is even free to use.
