Well, what should I say. I don’t like this part of the Wurzenpass because it’s super steep. But what I dislike the most are the current road conditions! When you do the downhill, be careful! There are a lot of holes and shitty asphalt.

Road cycling

The Austrian side is completely newly paved and in good condition. While the ascent, at 6 km and 480 meters of elevation gain, doesn't seem so bad at first glance, there's about a kilometer of constant 18% gradient. It's a real pain. The rest of the pass, however, is quite easy to ride and pedal. The descent on the Slovenian side, however, is fantastic, and your efforts are well worth it.
