Three Castles Head is a place to dream among untouched mountains, rocks and heath. You drive towards Mizen Head and then turn right, which is well signposted. However, the road is quite narrow and sometimes you have to reverse back to the alternative bay. The parking lot there is big enough and then you go up the mountain to have the unique view of the ruins and lake.

Lt. DUMONT travel guide from 2019 said there was a café near the parking lot, but we didn't see one, not even a sign. So always take a snack with you, the scenery is fantastic.
