Rotondo Hut

The Rotondo hut is in a very beautiful location, is cozy, has fine food and has a very hospitable, friendly hut team who have good tips for hikes ready.

In summer, the area offers various hiking opportunities in the Urner Alps or crossings to the mighty Furka and Gotthard massifs. Beginners as well as advanced climbers have the opportunity to put their skills to the test in the nearby climbing garden or to go on alpine climbing tours. The hut is also suitable as an excursion destination for families.

Mostly red and white hiking trails lead in all directions through alpine areas of the canton triangle Uri, Valais and Ticino. The most popular route is probably the hike from the Furka Pass to the Gotthard or Bedretto Valley or vice versa.

In winter the area offers great tours for touring skiers and snowshoeers. Please note that it is an alpine area and that you need the necessary equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe).
