This gem of a church with the cemetery behind it is located in the middle of Trais.
From the main street, Wetterstrasse, you can see the imposing quarry stone wall with the double-sided staircase that leads up to the church.

The oldest parts of the Evangelical Church in Trais-Münzenberg date back to around 1100 and was expanded around 1200 with a northern aisle. The church was built over a row grave cemetery from Franconian-Merovingian times. It was given its current form after extensive renovations in 1889. A Romanesque tower is attached to the north of the church, which received its current spire in the Baroque style.
