From the Negulesti resort the road to the Duras Waterfall departs, a magnificent mini-hike that by its charm represents a true tourist attraction of the area. The landscape here is special, both the Iapa river and the Calu river have created over time transverse valleys of a particular beauty given by the alternation in the gorge of the narrow sectors with the wide depression. At the same time, the banks of the two rivers are well wooded with wild and picturesque forests, not yet exploited.
The Duras Waterfall was formed 4.5 km upstream of the Negulesti resort, on the upper course of the Iapa river. The road leaves from the front of the resort and continues to the Frasin Forest Ocole where there is a wooden barrier. From here, after about 300 m on the left side through the fir branches, we see the water around the waterfall. To reach the waterfall you have to descend a steep slope through the woods, then on the stones near the river you can move up to near the place where the waterfall is poured.
