Saving a gem. The castle was built in 1886/87 and served as the summer residence of the Schwerin royal court. The associated park was laid out according to Lenné's plans.

After being used as the seat of the Soviet military command from 1945 to 1947, the castle was the seat of the State Forestry School until 1995. The property was privately owned until 2019 before it was acquired by the municipality in 2020. The Rabensteinfelder Cultural and Castle Association has set itself the goal of bringing life back into the red brick building by opening it up for community, club and cultural events. But there is still some way to go until then. In this sense: Accompany the journey and bring you closer to the goal through support. 😊

RabenSteinfeld Castle is beautifully situated in a large English landscape park that extends to Lake Schwerin. The park was laid out in 1851 according to plans by the court gardener Theodor Klett and even today you can still find some dendrological features here. The castle was owned by the grand ducal family until 1945.
From 1946 to 1995, foresters and engineers for forestry were trained at the castle.
The well-preserved brick farm workers' houses in the town are worth seeing; they were built between 1863 and 1869.

The neo-Renaissance style brick building of the castle was built between 1886 and 1887.
