The hill castle, situated on a wedge-shaped hill, dominates the city. It consists of an oval core castle with an area of about 40 × 100 meters, which is surrounded by a ring wall. The old town is a historic cultural monument of high rank. Their rich inventory of half-timbered houses from five centuries, which are significant in terms of building history, is already recognized in the local statute of 1910.
