The Saalbach Canal runs on its last piece between two dams. In case of heavy rain and corresponding high water level the dam may have to be sealed. For this purpose, appropriate building material is kept.

Along the canal on the dam you have a very nice view of the surrounding area. From the Grabener Straße bridge to the Rhine, the route is very easy to drive. In the other direction at least right bank a rather difficult way.
