Built in 1781, you can see the (former?) Riding stables of every one of his many years.

Far too grand and large to house just horses. Opposite the castle, which unfortunately can only be visited on certain dates.

... former riding stable building in Donaueschingen, Schwarzwald-Baar district in Baden-Württemberg.
                - The entrance gate with the two horse heads and coat of arms is interesting...

                For those interested:
                - The Marstall building was formerly a state stud farm – horses for the entire principality were bred here.

                - The first Marstall, however, was located on the other side of the palace (today's palace park).
                - It was built by "Count Heinrich VIII von Fürstenberg" and expanded in 1729 by "Joseph Wilhelm Ernst von Fürstenberg-Stühlingen."
                - His son, "Josef Wenzel von Fürstenberg-Stühlingen," finally had the Marstall relocated to the other side of the palace in 1779, and the palace park was built on the old site.
                - Ultimately, from 1806 onward, the Marstall lost its significance as a state stud farm. The railway, and later the automobile, became the means of transportation for longer distances.
                - From 1875 to 1879, the Marstall was rebuilt and adapted to new needs. suedkurier.de/region/schwarzwald/donaueschingen/Wenn-im-Marstall-der-Pferdeduft-weht;art372512,9810765
