Here are some information points on Roman history on the Rhine.
September 10, 2019
The Upper Germanic-Raetian Limes (ORL) is a 550 km long section of the former external border of the Roman Empire between the Rhine and the Danube. It stretches from Rheinbrohl to Eining Castle on the Danube. In post-antique times, the Limes was used as a quarry in many places and is therefore largely no longer visible today. The Upper Germanic-Raetian Limes is a monument and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.Source: Wikipedia
