The Glâne was already crossed at this point in ancient times. The romantic arched bridge made of tufa was built between 1508 and 1509 and is a real highlight in the area. The arch construction was created as a successor to a wooden bridge. Next to the Pont de Sainte-Apolline is a small chapel from 1566.
