In my opinion, a mountain can not be better. The Jochberg is located exactly between Kochel and Walchensee. On clear autumn days, the view extends far into the foothills of the Alps as far as Munich. With a bit of luck, you can see ibexes in addition to the great view.

Hiking

The Jochberg is probably one of the most famous peaks in the region. At the top, it's like Stachus.
Still worth the tour, because the view of the Walchensee is just fantastic.

To whom Jochberg alone is too little can, for example, descend via the Sonnenspitze in Kochel.

Mountaineering

The Jochberg lies with 1565 meters height in the Bavarian Pre-Alps between Walchensee and Kochelsee. During the Würm glaciation, it was a nunatak, a mountain whose peak protruded about 150 m from the ice stream. (Source: Wikipedia)
