Hiking Highlight
The Jocheralm is located slightly below the Jochberg summit on wide, lush alpine meadows. During the summer you can stop here on your tours at the Jochberg and enjoy a delicious snack, a cold beer or a delicious soup with a wonderful view. Incidentally, milk and cheese come from their own cows, who graze contentedly on the surrounding pastures.
Opening times can be found at jocheralm.de.

From the pasture, it is worth taking a detour to the summit cross (signposted with 30 minutes, we made it with a quick step in 15). From there you have on one side the view of Kochelsee, Starnberger See, Ammersee and Munich. On the other side lies the Walchensee in front of the mountain panorama.

The hut is served from April from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. (coffee can also be obtained earlier if necessary ;)). The prices are quite acceptable for the huts, one must not forget the extra effort and the special location. For our visit (07/13/2022) there was shandy, alcohol-free beer, beer for 4 - 4.50 € and snack plates between 7.50 and 11 € (liver cheese platter, bacon board, cheese board, etc.) and scrambled eggs with bacon for 7€. The view is fantastic, you get a real mountain flair from the nearby alpine cattle and the hospitality was very friendly and accommodating.

Great starting point after the summit. On nicer days, however, totally overcrowded!

The Alm is surrounded by hills on a meadow. You cannot see the Kochel and Walchensee from there.
In bad weather there is only little space in the hut (3 tables, 20 people).
The dishes include various snacks, scrambled eggs with bacon, Kaiserschmarn and stew.
Everything very tasty.
