The Staffelalm awaits you not only with a magnificent view, delicious snacks and refreshing drinks, but also with two special art treasures.
The artist Franz Marc, one of the most important expressionists in Germany and co-founder of the artist community "Blauer Reiter", regularly visited the Staffelalm on his hikes between 1900 and 1914. Inspired by the picturesque landscape and the peaceful cows in the pasture, he painted two frescoes on the walls of the Staffelalm. Since then, a large bull's head and two green deer have graced the alpine hut.

Two wall drawings by the artist Franz Marc can be admired on the Staffelalm. Anyone who asks nicely will certainly be allowed in to take a look at the pictures. However, photos are not welcome.

You can sit on the meadow in front of the Alm, separated from other guests, and enjoy the great view.
