Many wind turbines can be seen in the distance, some seem to soar into the sky.

The Paderborn plateau is the largest limestone and the largest karst landscape in Westphalia and presents itself as a wide, sometimes even barren and rough-looking landscape into which the streams have cut deeply. It forms the geological conclusion of the Westphalian Bay. The forest-free areas are due to their high wind power potential to the regions with the largest density of wind turbines in the German interior.
