Great view of the Elbe and the Elbe island Schwarztonnensand. Schwarztonnensand is a protected inland island in the Lower Elbe. It lies opposite Asselersand and belongs to the municipality of Drochtersen. It is about 3,500 meters long and about 400 meters wide. Wikipedia

            Beautiful nature… Great landscape

Really great view of the Elbe. Sometimes a few trees spoil the view. But then you just drive a few hundred meters further.

On June 17th, 2024, we asked a woman and her dog for directions. We wanted to know if you could cross the bridge on the Wischhafener Süderelbe by bike. But she didn't know her way around. She was probably on vacation in Krautsand. As we continued our journey, a couple came towards us on their bikes and told us that the bridge was closed. We then rode back with them. The woman with the dog on a leash was still standing on the path and we rode past her. Last of all, my wife. The dog snapped and bit my right calf.
A relatively small wound became infected and we drove to the hospital in Flensburg on June 20th, 2024, where we were treated. We were advised not to continue our journey by bike. We therefore had to end our cycling trip. Perhaps someone can provide information about the dog owner or has met her. Middle-aged woman, 45 to 50 years old, long dark hair. Dog shoulder height approx. 50 cm, long, mottled black, brown, beige hair.
