The Bentlage Monastery is located on the banks of the Ems, north of the city of Rheine. Founded in 1437, the monastery was transformed into a noble residence in 1803 and is now owned by the city of Rheine. Today the monastery serves cultural purposes. It houses a museum that documents art and cultural history. It is surrounded by greenery and is a popular destination. Nicely remote, ADFC “bed and bike” certified accommodation. You can hardly sleep more calmly. :)

My room was very simple, the bathroom was very large and everything was super. The breakfast in the main building of the old walls was also convincing. Therefore, it is a clear recommendation as an accommodation for cycling travelers. ;)
