The pile-dwelling restaurant "Seekiste" is located on Böhler Strand and thus on the westernmost tip of the sandbanks near St. Peter Ording. The view over the wide mudflats is more impressive than from the pile-dwellings in the tourist center of SPO due to the restaurant's peripheral location and its elevated position. The food offered in the Seekiste is tasty and not spoiled by outrageous tourist prices. Wednesday is the day of rest.

The Böhler Strand is also served by the local bus line 2 and is therefore very suitable for walks to/from the center of SPO (the market square in St. Peter Dorf is about 4.5 km away).
