On Jacob's Day, July 25, 2010, the pass chapel on the Haggenegg, built in 1700 and now completely restored, was consecrated with great participation by the population. It is halfway between Einsiedeln and Schwyz. At 1414 meters above sea level, the crossing is the highest on the Way of St. James north of the Pyrenees. The interior of the chapel is kept simple, a space for calm and reflection. In the center there is an old stone cross, a bench invites you to linger. The chapel is accessible around the clock during the snow-free period (approx. April to October). The small church is beautifully situated, with an unobstructed view of the Schwyz valley basin, the Rigi and the Lauerzersee.

Beautiful chapel that stands high above the valley basin and is often used as a break.
