As of June 10, 2024, it is not accessible. The path is covered by rubble. The only option is to cross a glacier stream with a strong current. Possibly possible without shoes, with pulled-up trousers and poles, but with a dog I had to turn around.

As of October 2024, it is still only accessible to the daredevils. Only a jump on wet stones or balancing on a 4 m long narrow beam would have brought us to the other side of the stream.

The official road to the glacier gate is still in ruins. The plank over the river is still the only way to continue the way, but beware that this plank is loose: really for daredevils. By the way, the road to it is very beautiful, so it is definitely worth walking to the plank and then turning around.
