Cycling
The old patrol roads are difficult to navigate. Firstly, they are very steep, and secondly, the grid-like concrete slabs are very uncomfortable to navigate. In any case, they're very strenuous if you want to climb the Brocken on the same day.

Cycling
If you really want a long tire, a tire width of 50mm+ is recommended. The lattice concrete slabs shake the bike and driver thoroughly. Very steep ramps make the route even more difficult. If you are passing through, it is better to choose a longer but energy-saving detour.
