Around the Dreistelz there are many old stocks of beech and noble deciduous trees, in which an enormous variety of species can be found. That is why a core zone of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön has been designated around the Dreistelz. The core zones are nature reserves of a special kind and there is a strict ban on paths. Hiking, mountain biking or cycling is only permitted on designated paths.
To protect the sensitive flora and fauna, please stick to it and stay on the designated paths!
