Hiking Highlight
The Grawawasserfall is the widest waterfall in the Eastern Alps. Here then goes the ascent to Sulzenaualm. For the ascent you should be free from giddiness and sure-footed.

Probably the most spectacular waterfall in the Stubai Valley, definitely worth a visit.

The Grawa waterfall is easily accessible both by public transport and by car. A hike along the "Wilde Wasser Weg" gives a very attractive, comprehensive impression of the origin and surroundings of this natural spectacle. In three stages with different degrees of severity, this hike opens up the path of the water through the rear Stubai Valley from the Sulzenauferner as the glacier origin of the water via the Grawa Fall to the Ruetz cataract, a spectacular narrow point of the Ruetz, the "house brook" of the Stubai.

From the formation of the Sulzenau brook from the melting water of the Sulzenauferner, landing in the Blaue Lacke, further flowing past the Sulzenau hut and falling as a waterfall to the Sulzenau Alm and, as it flows calmly, until it falls to the Grawa Alm and meets Ruetz united, it is a spectacle.

A MUST in the Stubai Valley! And finally a Kaiserschmarren with a view of the waterfall 👍

Awesome waterfall - but the valley basin above it with a small alpine hut is almost even better. Continuing the wild water path is definitely worth it to the glacier!
