Surrounded by the untouched Bannwald, the Hirschbachwasserfall rushes down the valley. The place has its own magic and the exciting path through the Bannwald is a must for true nature lovers.

The little brother of the Zweribach Falls. Very nice, too. Can be wonderfully combined in a hike.
May 28, 2020
It's especially fun here because you have to step from one larger stone to the next.
November 23, 2020
Small, narrow, unpaved and natural steep path.
Sometimes slippery depending on the weather.
But the landscape is very beautiful.
December 22, 2020
Here the small Hirschbach plunges into the depths - a wooden bridge leads to the other side of the stream.
May 16, 2020
The approach through the Bannwald alone is worth a hike, the Hirschbachfall is indeed much less spectacular than the Zweribachfall, but still very picturesque and worth a visit in any case

The alpine descent to the deer waterfall may be regarded as a challenge. The waterfall itself descends over several steps downhill.
May 2, 2018
Small cascade waterfall over a total of about 20m. In places, the path is difficult to walk, especially in the upper part has to be climbed a bit.
But should not be a problem with sturdy shoes and sure-footedness.

The harbinger of the Zweribach. A small wooden bridge leads over the stream 🦊
February 9, 2021
This waterfall should not be missed if you look at the Zweribach waterfalls. Beware of the path, you should be sure-footed.
April 19, 2021
Sturdy shoes are a must here. Due to the width and the unpaved stones, the path is definitely a feasible challenge. Particular caution is required here in snow and rain.
April 20, 2021
The path is marked as "difficult" everywhere. Of course, the path cannot be seen as a walk, but it is definitely doable with surefootedness and a little caution. I would definitely recommend visiting the Zweribach waterfall first and using the descent described here as an ascent.
April 22, 2021
Exciting, narrow and stony path. Good surefootedness is required here.
May 31, 2021
Small waterfall, it is not quite as imposing as the Zweribach waterfall. But depending on when you have made the steep ascent to the waterfall, you can cool down here.

Wild and romantic forest with the two waterfalls

Slightly alpine flair in the Black Forest: hiking trail to the Hirschbach and Zweribach waterfalls
August 18, 2021
If you would like to go on challenging tours away from the wide hiking trails, this is the right place for you. A good basic level of fitness is sufficient. Good footwear and a sure step or body balance are an advantage. Get out of everyday life, experience adventure!

The Black Forest is known for its abundance of waterfalls. The reason for this lies in the large differences in altitude over a short distance, which applies in particular to the topographical situation in the Simonswald valley. In the 300-700 meter sloping western side of the valley, the strong Ice Age glaciations have created cirque walls. The neighboring streams Hirschbach and Zweribach, coming from gently undulating hanging valleys, plunge down into the largest of these cirques, more than 300 meters deep, with several waterfalls, of which only the Zweribach waterfalls are known nationwide. The cirque is protected as a protective forest and as a Zweribach nature reserve.

Alpine descent to the waterfall, which falls over several steps.
May 2, 2018
It is wildly romantic. Exciting stream in a beautiful spell forest.
July 22, 2018
With a slightly harder spot requiring mini climbing. But is feasible for almost anyone.
June 24, 2019
Nice path through the natural forest. In damp conditions, sturdy shoes should definitely be worn 🦊
February 9, 2021
In the almost 20 meter high stepped main fall, the Hirschbach falls into an ice-age cirque in the Simonswald valley, where it flows into the Zweribach, a tributary of the Wilde Gutach. Two other smaller waterfalls are 300 meters upstream in the high valley of Gschwandersdobel.
