In addition to being on a slope, the Lorraine tailings dump has the particularity of having a geometric shape. It is even poured approximately in a right-angled triangle. The hypotenuse, i.e. the longest side of the triangle, is the southern flank, which stands out particularly prominently and with a steep embankment above the adjacent field.

The art installation by Kisten Kaiser entitled Über(n)Ort catches the eye from afar. It consists of 23 thick vertical tubes, spaced apart in a 220 meter line, supporting a single horizontal tube. The vertical tubes increase in height towards the back, which leads to an optical illusion when viewed. The entire installation is painted in the warning color yellow. Right from the start, the installation has LED lighting, which turns the massive pipes into a floating, fragile line.
