The best preserved castle on the Burgensteig Bergstraße is a very young building. The Wachenburg was built at the beginning of the 20th century by the Weinheim Senior Convent, an association of various student corps, in the style of German castle romanticism. It was to be erected as a memorial to its members who died in the First World War. Even today the castle is managed and used by the Senior Convent. You can freely visit the castle courtyard and the castle tavern and on individual days you can also visit the castle.

The Wachenburg as headquarters of the Weinheim Senior Convent and thus home to many corps has a very special style .. invites you to linger ... Stories about loyalty, democracy and scale are told by the walls ... and a brilliant castle tavern of course not missing and does not.
High please - go!
