Hiking
The section north of this junction of Coastal Trail and Coastal Fire Road is a narrow hiking trail, descending in parts steeply on a long stairway down to the small Pirate Cove, before climbing again and ultimately descending into Muir Beach. To the south a narrow hiking trail closely follows along the cliffs down to Tennessee Beach.
