The core of the Wachow Church is a late Gothic hall made of fieldstone. The old tower was made of bricks. The new tower was completed in 1822. The top of the pyramid is covered with slate. The nave received new arched windows. Remains of medieval paintings have been preserved on the walls of the church. The pulpit altar dates from 1730.

The village church of Wachow was built according to a design by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the period from 1819 to 1822. The nave is made of field stones and has high arched windows with wood tracery.
A very beautiful building, which impresses with clearly structured proportions, is the Protestant village church in the district Gohlitz. It is a late Gothic, single-aisled brick building with Querrechteckigem west tower.
